Allegheny Archives & Media was created after going through the process of digitizing my family's photo collections. When my Uncle Jeff passed away, my father offered boxes of unorganized family photographs to me.

There were various forms of family items (see above photo) including photographs, newspaper clippings, slides, and my great-great grandfather's handwritten will! I was thrilled...and at a loss as to how to go about digitizing these files so that, if anything would happen to the hard copies, the images would live on.

Currently, I work for a local organization as a Multimedia Specialist.

I graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Visual Communication (Photojournalism). In August 2023, I started the University of Pittsburgh’s Master of Library and Information Sciences program with a focus on Archives and Resources.

Allegheny Archives & Media allows me to offer, what I consider, an important service to other people.

I’d be honored to digitize your history and preserve your memories.
